Employers' Liability Insurance
Employers' Liability Insurance provides indemnity to the Insured against liability at law for damages and compensation and claimant's costs and expenses in respect of bodily injury or illness sustained by any person under a contract of service or apprenticeship arising out of and in the course of his employment by the Insured in the business. For those categories of employees not protected by the Workmen’s Compensation Acts or SOCSO, liability at law still exists and the Employer can obtain indemnity under the Employer’s Liability Policy. The employer can be held liable at common law if it can be proved that the injury or illness sustained had been caused by the employer
