- What is RHB On-The-Spot Redemption?
RHB On-The-Spot Redemption allows all RHB credit cards* customers to redeem products and services at participating merchants’ outlets immediately using their rewards points. This is RHB way of giving instants gratification to our cardholders for using their credit cards.
- How does RHB On-The-Spot Redemption works?
All RHB credit card holders need to do is just a few very simple steps :
- Visit the participating RHB on-the-spot merchants and choose any product within the store then proceed the payment counter.
- At the payment counter, customers need to give his or her credit card to cashier and inform cashier that they would like to pay with their RHB rewards points.
- The cashier will then insert the card into the terminal, key in the bill amount, the equivalent points will be deducted, then the customers will need to sign the sales draft in order to authorize the points deducted.
- Can partial credit payment and points redemption be done?
Yes, partial credit payment and points redemption can certainly be done. If customers have insufficient points to cover the product purchase, then the remaining amount will be charged to the customer's credit card.
- What is the value of RHB Reward points?
The rewards points’ values vary depending on merchants. Some merchants give special discounts for redemptions via points. The cashier would be able to assist.
- How can customers find out the number of points they have when they are in the store?
Customers will need to pass their RHB credit cards to the cashier and ask to do points enquiry, then cashier will proceed with checking the points for customers via the EDC terminal.
- By redeeming the item with customers’ rewards points, will they still get the warranty?
The prevailing product promotion will apply together with the warranty associated with the sales.
- Will the redemption earn customers rewards points?
There will be no points given for full redemption but however, customers will be able to earn more points on the credit payment amount transacted for partial redemption.
- How long does it take to for customers to do redemption or do they need to fill in any forms?
Redemption transaction takes the same amount of time and the same sign off on sales draft as a credit card transaction. No additional documents needed.
- How many on-the-spot redemption places does RHB Bank have?
Senheng / senQ is one of the on-the-spot redemption center, they have over 70 outlets where on-the-spot redemption can be done. RHB Bank has over 1500 participating merchant outlets. Please also refer to the On-The-Spot Redemption Partners page for our updated partners list.
- Can Supplementary cardholders perform on-the-spot redemption?
No. Only principal cardmembers are entitled to perform on-the-spot redemption.
- If cardmembers wishes to cancel his redemption, can cardmember get back the refund?
No. Once the product has been redeemed on-the-spot by cardmembers, redemption transaction cannot be canceled and points/money would not be credited back to cardmembers’ account.
- How much can cardmembers redeem?
Products can be redeemed in multiples of 200 reward points. The remaining outstanding amount that cannot be redeemed will be debited to the RHB Credit Card.
- Is the RHB On-The-Spot Redemption facility eligible to all RHB cards?
No. It's only applicable to selected RHB Credit Cards with available RHB Reward Points. Please refer to the terms and conditions.
- Can cardholder request to redeem only a certain number of points from his points pool?
No. The system would deduct all the points to the nearest Ringgit (for Plus 1 credit card, it is to the nearest RM50.00) of the product value. If points are insufficient, to cover the entire product, cardmembers can then purchase with their RHB Credit Card.
- How can cardholder know who are the On-The-Spot merchants?
From time to time, we would feature new On-The-Spot redemption merchants in the website or newsletters.
