  • What are Cash Connect Visa Debit Card and MyCash-i Visa Debit Card? This is the alternative debit card for Cash Connect and MyCash-i using the Visa brand. It can be used to withdraw cash via any ATM worldwide and can be used to make purchases at retail outlets, restaurants, and petrol stations and at any Visa accepted merchants.

    When debit card is used, funds are automatically deducted from customer’s Current or Savings account that is linked to the card.

  • Who is eligible for Cash Connect Visa Debit Card and MyCash-i Visa Debit Card? Any individual who has RHB Bank or RHB Islamic Bank Current or Savings account and with the minimum age of 18 years old and above is eligible.
  • How do I get a Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card?
    • Visit a RHB or RHB Islamic Branch nearest to you.
    • Fill up a Account Opening Form (IMP008A) when you open a Current or Savings Account.
    • Fill up RHB Services Form (IMP020A) for existing Current and Savings Account customers.
  • If I choose to change my Savings or Current account linked to Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card, what should I do? You have to go to the branch where you applied for the Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card account.  Fill up the RHB Services form and indicate your intended account number in the account link column.
  • Where can I use my Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card? You can use your Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card at any Merchant , which accepts Visa at over 29 million locations worldwide.

    You can also use your Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card at any merchant with the MEPS logo accepted at over 26,000 locations locally, via your ATM PIN.

    For ATM transaction, you can use it at any ATM machine that displays the MEPS or Plus logo overseas.

  • What are the benefits of having Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card?
    • Convenience to pay for goods or services worldwide at 29 million merchant outlets that carry the Visa logo.
    • Cash withdrawal transactions from ATMs subject to availability of funds in the designated Current or Savings Account and customers daily withdrawal limit.
    • The Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card cardholder will enjoy 2% cash back on any spending (except e-debit purchases) and the cash back will be credited into the designated Current or Savings account on monthly basis.
    • Continue to enjoy the prevailing interest rate on the Savings Account or any interest bearing account.
  • What is my Spending Limit on the Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card? For security control, cardholders are provided with an option to choose a daily spending limit for their retail purchases under the Visa platform which is signature-based as follows:
    • RM1,000
    • RM3,000 (default)
    • RM5,000
    • Up to the available balance in an account
    For withdrawal at ATM, the daily maximum limit is RM5,000 and customer may change his/her limit at the branch (defaulted ATM limit is RM3,000 for Debit Card)
  • Will there be any charges imposed by the Bank for Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card? Yes. The charges are:
    • Annual Fee: RM20.00 (per annum)
    • Card Replacement Fee: RM15.00
    • Cash Withdrawal  at other MEPS ATMs: RM1.00 (per withdrawal)
    • Cash Withdrawal at all other ATMs via Visa network: RM8.00 (per withdrawal)
  • How long does it take to receive a Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card?
    • For instant card (i.e.  without your name on it), if you apply at any RHB Bank or Islamic Bank branches, you will get your debit card instantly.
    • For personalized card, you will get your debit card within 14 business days via mail to your mailing address, or from the branch where you applied for the debit card.
  • When will my PIN Mailer arrive?
    • For instant card, you will be given the PIN Mailer upon issuance and handing over of  your debit card.
    • For personalized card, RHB Card Centre will send it via post to your mailing address upon issuance.
  • What should I do if I forget my Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card PIN? Visit your nearest RHB Bank Branch to unblock the PIN.
  • What if my Current or Savings Account is opened jointly (has two or more signatories)? Only joint account-holders for Current or Savings account  with condition on operations of account stated as “either one to sign” can apply for Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card.

    Joint account holders need to apply for separate Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card (e.g. two applications for two joint account holders). Both cards will be charged an Annual fee of RM20.00 each. For joint account, only applicable up to a maximum of 4 accountholders.

  • What is the spending limit for  the Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card if there are two or more signatories? For retail spending limit and withdrawal at ATM, each cardholder determines the limit subject to amount available in the account and separate PINs are allowed. Refer to A7 for daily retail spending and withdrawal at ATM limits.
  • What if the primary accountholder would like to cancel off the debit card? This is strictly not allowed; however, in the event that the primary accountholder insisted on canceling the debit card, the secondary accountholder(s) would still not be able to enjoy the cash back of 2%.
  • What should I do upon receipt of Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card?
    • Kindly visit any RHB ATM to change the PIN for activation on both ATM withdrawal and retail spend. You will then be able to use the Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card.
    • Alternatively, you may contact our Call Centre at 03-9206 8118 to activate the retail spend on Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card immediately and change the ATM PIN later at any RHB ATM for activation on ATM withdrawal.
  • What should I do if my Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card is lost or stolen? Notify our Call Centre at 03-92068118 immediately to block your Debit Card. A replacement card will be issued to you at your request and the replacement card fee of
    RM 20.00 will be charged to your Current or Savings Account.
  • Under what circumstances  holding of funds transactions are required to be performed  to my Current or Savings account?
    • Hotel – Amount depends on the duration of stay whereby upon check-in, pre-authorization amount will be charged. Upon  checkout, the pre-authorization amount will be reversed and the actual amount will be charged.
    • Petrol transaction at the pump (outdoor) – Pre-authorization amount is RM200 but some petrol operators allow the cardholder to select the amount at the pump. Pre-authorization amount will be charged to customer’s banking account during the fill-up. The pre-authorization amount will then be reversed  and the actual filled-up amount will be charged to customer’s bank account once the bank receives the actual filled-up amount from the acquiring bank. Average pre-authorization holding day is 14 days.
  • What if my account balance is insufficient for renewal charges? If your account balance is insufficient to make payment for the renewal charges, your Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card usage will be blocked until the annual charge is successfully debited to your account.
  • Can I use the Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card outside of Malaysia? You can use your Cash Connect Visa Debit Card or MyCash-i Visa Debit Card abroad anywhere you see the Visa logo displayed at the shop. The card can be used for retail purchases at any Visa merchant and cash withdrawals at any ATM with the Visa logo anytime. For usage of the MEPS ATM access, you need to activate the overseas flag prior to your departure. The activation process can be done through our 24-hour customer service center at 03-92068118.
  • Can I use Easy Payment Plan (EPP) facility for purchases with my RHB Debit Card? No, the EPP is not applicable for Debit Card.
