August 2008 RHB to Provide One-Stop Financial Solutions to The Federation Of Malaysian Foundry and Engineering Industry Associations (FOMFEIA) Kuala Lumpur, 26 August 2008 :In response to the government’s advice to assist the SME sector, RHB Banking Group has launched a one-day seminar for the Federation of Malaysian Foundry and Engineering Industry Associations (FOMFEIA) to showcase the financial facilities provided by the RHB Banking Group. The main objective of this seminar is to build a business relationship between the RHB Banking Group and the members of FOMFEIA. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Michael Joseph Barrett, Group Managing Director, RHB Banking Group, commented, “The purpose of today’s meeting is to create a bridge between the RHB Banking Group and the SME owners through FOMFEIA, a co-operation which will benefit both parties. The RHB Banking Group will be the primary business partners for FOMFEIA members and they will receive the best offers from us for all their financial needs”. FOMFEIA was established on 7 January, 1978 and has more than 2000 members from various states throughout the country. The members are mainly engineering firms, construction material manufacturers, crane and hoist service providers, and other engineering-related industries. The role of FOMFEIA includes assisting its members in resolving government-related policies, sourcing of industrial land, arranging and providing expertise in solving technology problems, resolving issues related to foreign employment and many other related issues. On 28 June, 2008, an MOU was signed between FOMFEIA and RHB Credit Card where 1% of the transaction amount by FOMFEIA members on the RHB Platinum Business Card will be given to the federation in the form of a cash rebate. The rebates will be channeled towards the development and growth of FOMFEIA to benefit all FOMFEIA members. There will also be a free travel insurance coverage up to RM2million for each card member. The FOMFEIA logo will also be embossed on the card as the symbol of co-operation between the RHB Banking Group and FOMFEIA.
