RHB Receives a Solid Nod from the IGP

The RHB Banking Group has recently received the most prestigious recognition from the Royal Malaysian Police/ Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM), the “Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Recognition” (Penghargaan Ketua Polis Negara) from Tan Sri Ismail Omar, the Inspector-General of Police, at a special event in Johor Bahru.

The recognition is in acknowledgement of the RHB Banking Group’s efforts and commitment in assisting the PDRM and the immediate families of reported missing children in the country. The PDRM and the RHB Banking Group collaborate as “Smart Partners” in disseminating fast and effective information of missing children via the Group’s extensive delivery channels. The RHB Banking Group, as a responsible corporate citizen, is proud to be the first Banking Group to spearhead such efforts and also, to educate the children, parents and the public on how to keep the young safe.

The Group is also recognized for its efforts in educating the children and their parents on Child Safety under the Reuniting Families- Child Safety programme via road shows in several cities in the country, all in the effort of spreading awareness that children must be kept safe. The Group is also the first to bring into the country the Child ID Kit, which contains the recent photograph of the child and other relevant details that provide immediate and essential information for the search, recovery and rescue of a missing child.

Puan Norazzah Sulaiman, Director of Group Corporate Services, received the said Recognition from Tan Sri Ismail. “It is an honour to receive such acknowledgement and recognition from the IGP. The RHB Banking Group has made it a priority to safeguard our young and we will continue to invest our resources in the protection of children through our Missing Children – Reuniting Families programme,” said Puan Norazzah.
