Who is eligible for this services?
All Bruneian (citizen or permanent resident) students intending to pursue higher or further education in the UK and who has been accepted into higher or further education in the UK for at least 12 months.
What is the condition for application?
Date of application must not be less than 20 working business (Monday – Friday) days from the date of departure to the United Kingdom; else, accepting the application may result in unnecessary delay to the student.
What are the charges involved?
No handling charge to open the account with RHB Bank
FORMS/DOCUMENTS REQUIRED?
Students
- Letter of admission from the UK university or Universities and Colleges Admissions Services (UCAS)
- Certified copy of passport
Parents or Benefactors
- Certified copy of passport
- Evidence of the parents’* or benefactors’* principal residential address – one of the following:
- An original bank statement**
- An original credit card statement**
Note:
To provide original copy for verification.
* This is required only if you select Premium International Student and Family Service and are a joint account holder.
** Statements must be written in English language and should not be more than 3 months old.

Confirmation of Account Opening
Once the account had been approved, the student will receive a letter (or e-mail) of confirmation from Barclays Bank.
