MICHAEL J. BARRETT MICHAEL J. BARRETT
GROUP MANAGING DIRECTOR, HEAD OF RETAIL AND INTERNATIONAL STRATEGIC BUSINESS UNITS

Michael J. Barrett began his career in banking in 1973 when, fresh out of college, he joined the Management Training Programme of Chase Manhattan Bank in New York.

He held several appointments at Chase in the United States for 14 years before being sent to Puerto Rico as Consumer Country Manager in 1987. Barrett's first assignment in Asia came in 1989 when he was sent to Singapore as Southeast Asia Regional Consumer Manager to develop and implement the bank's Consumer Banking Strategy for Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia.

In April 1996, Barrett was appointed CEO / President of Chase Manhattan Bank USA, N.A., based in Newark, Delaware. Following the merger of Chase with JP Morgan in 2001, he also assumed the role of Senior JP Morgan Chase Executive for all its Delaware operations, a position he served until his retirement in November 2003.

During his tenure as CEO / President, he was responsible for managing the US$42 billion National Consumer Credit and Wholesale Bank based in Newark, Delaware.

Barrett was appointed as the Chief Executive Officer at RHB Bank Bhd on January 3, 2005.

Barrett was appointed as the Group Managing Director at RHB Capital Berhad and has also been redesignated to Managing Director of RHB Bank Berhad with effect from 8 October 2007.
 
NORAZZAH SULAIMAN NORAZZAH SULAIMAN
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, RHB CAPITAL

Puan Norazzah Sulaiman holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) with Honours from Warwick University, England and is an Associate Member of the Institute of Company Secretaries Malaysia.

She started her career in human resource where she was primarily exposed to the area of Industrial Relations, welfare and benefits as well as manpower planning. In 1991, Puan Norazzah joined the Human Resource Division of Malayan Banking Berhad.

In 1994, she joined Bank Utama as the Head of Human Resource responsible for the Bank's overall human resource functions. She was subsequently appointed as Company Secretary of Utama Banking Group ("UBG") as well as Head of Company Secretarial and Legal Services for Bank Utama and its group of companies.

Puan Norazzah joined RHB Group on March 1, 2003 as Head of Legal & Secretarial Division and subsequently as Head of Group Legal & Compliance Division. She was responsible for the RHB Group's overall legal advisory services and compliance function and has played a primary role in all the Group's major corporate exercises.

Puan Norazzah Sulaiman was appointed as Chief Operating Officer of RHB Capital Berhad on June 11, 2007.

 
KELLEE KAM KELLEE KAM CHEE KHIONG
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER, RHB CAPITAL

Kellee Kam holds a Bachelor of Law (LLB) with Honours from Manchester Metropolitan University and a Master of Arts with Merit in South East Asian Business World from the University of London. He also holds a Master of Business Administration from Richmond College.

He started his career in the financial services sector with ABN AMRO Bank and had thereafter joined the Utama Banking Group as the General Manager of Special Projects.

Kam joined the RHB Group on February 2, 2005 as General Manager, Corporate Finance and Treasury and was subsequently appointed as the Head of Corporate and Strategic Planning with effect from January 1, 2007. His primary areas of responsibilities were in the areas of Corporate Finance and Strategy during this period.

Kam was appointed as Chief Financial Officer of RHB Capital Berhad on June 11, 2007.
 
AMELAH JAMALUDDIN JAMELAH JAMALUDDIN
HEAD OF ISLAMIC BANKING

Jamelah Jamaluddin's career in banking began 20 years ago when she joined Bumiputra Merchant Bankers Bhd as an Officer of Corporate Banking.

She also served as Assistant General Manager of Project Finance at Sime Bank and Head of Risk Management at Perwira Affin Merchant Bankers Berhad. She later joined Macquarie Malaysia Sdn Bhd as its Division Director of Investment Banking Group as well as its Country Head.

Jamelah was also the Deputy CEO of Kuwait Finance House (Malaysia) Berhad ("KFH"). Prior to joining KFH, Jamelah was the Chief Operating Officer of RHB Sakura Merchant Bankers Berhad (now known as RHB Investment Bank Berhad) until November 12, 2005.

Jamelah Jamaluddin assumed the position of CEO of RHB Islamic Bank with effect from August 6, 2007.
 
CHAY WAI LEONG CHAY WAI LEONG
HEAD OF CORPORATE & INVESTMENT BANKING

Chay Wai Leong graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration from the National University of Singapore in 1987. Following his graduation, he joined the Bankers Trust Brokerage in Singapore as a Senior Investment Analyst before moving to Hong Kong to take up the post of Director of Investment Banking at Jardine Fleming Securities Ltd in 1990.

At Jardine, he was responsible for origination and execution of transactions not just in Hong Kong but also in China, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.

In 1997, Chay came to Malaysia to assume his new position as Director and Head of Corporate Finance at Pesaka Jardine Fleming Sdn Bhd. When Jardine Fleming merged with Chase Manhattan Bank in 2000, he was appointed Director and Head of Investment Banking for Chase JF Malaysia. Following the merger with JP Morgan in 2001, Chay was appointed Director and Head of Investment Banking for JP Morgan Malaysia.

In the 20 years he has served in the investment banking sector, Chay has played a major role in several major transactions in Malaysia as well as in the region. The team he led in JP Morgan Securities Malaysia won Euromoney's Annual Award for "Best Foreign Securities Firm in Malaysia" for four consecutive years from 1997 to 2000.

Based on his intimate knowledge of the financial sector in Malaysia and abroad, Chay was appointed as Chief Executive Officer of RHB Investment Bank Bhd on November 1, 2006.
 
Renzo Viegas RENZO VIEGAS
HEAD OF RETAIL BANKING

Renzo Viegas is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has been trained as a chartered accountant. He also completed an advance management programme in strategic marketing planning at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

Previously, Viegas headed various aspects of banking operations in India, Singapore, Guam (USA) and the Asia Pacific region.

He later joined Citibank Malaysia where he served in as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer.

Viegas joined RHB Banking Group on March 10, 2008 as the Group’s Head of Retail Banking.
 
MICHAEL LIM MICHAEL LIM KHENG BOON
CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER, HEAD OF OPERATIONS & SUPPORT STRATEGIC FUNCTIONAL UNITS

Michael Lim Kheng Boon is an experienced banker with 33 years of Treasury banking experience working overseas in New York and other major Asian financial cities.

Before returning to Malaysia in 2000, Lim has been working overseas in Hong Kong, Taipei, New York, Jakarta and Singapore for various banks inlcuding Citic Ka Wah Bank Hong Kong and New York; Security Pacific National Bank Hong Kong, Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong, Taipei, Jakarta, Singapore, and Bank Niaga Jakarta.

Currently, he is a Fellow member of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators, Australia and Chartered Institute of Bankers, London and an Associate member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, London. Additionally, he is also the President of The Financial Markets Association Malaysia.

Lim was appointed as the Executive Vice President and Treasurer of RHB Bank Berhad on October 1, 2002.
 
RUPERT KOH RUPERT KOH HOCK JOO
HEAD OF CENTRAL FINANCE STRATEGIC FUNCTIONAL UNITS

Rupert Koh graduated with a Diploma in Accounting from the Oxford Polytechnic, United Kingdom in 1975. A fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England and Wales, he has over 25 years of experience covering audit, corporate finance, financial accounting and management.

He served as Head of Corporate Finance at Asian International Merchant Bankers Bhd from 1982 to 1989. He then joined Sime Darby as Finance Director, Malaysia Region, a position he held between 1989 and 1996.

He later joined Digital Equipment (M) Sdn Bhd where he served in the same position between October 1996 and January 1997.

Koh joined RHB Bank on January 19, 1998 as General Manager and Head of the Finance Department. He was appointed the Chief Financial Officer and Head of the Division on January 7, 2002.
 
nik NIK HASNIZA DATUK DR. NIK IBRAHIM
HEAD OF HUMAN RESOURCES

Nik Hasniza graduated with a Degree in Computer Science from the Indiana University, Indiana, USA in 1987. She has attended various training and development programmes in technical, sales and managerial areas throughout career.

She served as Programmer Analyst, Systems Analyst, Development Manager and Business Development Manager at Mesiniaga Sdn Bhd from 1987 to 1995. She then joined Mesiniaga-TACTICS Sdn Bhd as General Manager, a position she held between 1995 and 1998. Later, she also assumed the role of General Manager / Director at Mesiniaga-SCS Sdn Bhd between 1999 and September 2006.

She later joined Watson Wyatt (M) Sdn Bhd where she served in as a Senior Consultant between September 2006 and January 2008.

Nik Hasniza joined RHB Banking Group on February 25, 2008 as Group Head of Human Resources.
