RHB GROUP ORGANISES WEALTH MANAGEMENT SEMINARS

10 May 2002, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia-The RHB Group has embarked on a series of wealth management seminars to be held from May 13 to 16 to provide consumers information on wealth management, asset allocation, update on Malaysia's current economic trends, unit trust advice as well as practical financing plans.

The evening seminars will be held in Johor Bahru on May 13 at Eden Garden Hotel, Batu Pahat on May 14 at Pelican Hotel, Melaka on May 15 at Golden Legacy Hotel and Seremban on May 16 at Allson Klana Resort.

RHB Group companies such as RHB Bank, Rashid Hussain Securities, RHB Unit Trust Management, RHB Insurance and RHB Delta Finance are participating in the seminars.

Peter England, RHB Bank Head of Consumer Banking said today, "As an integrated financial services group, we have a wealth of resources and skills including expert advice on wealth management. Our seminars are aimed at providing general consumers opportunities to consider financing and investment options that can be customised to suit individual needs."

A series of 9 investment seminars was held throughout Sabah and Sarawak recently by the RHB Group and response from customers and the public was very encouraging given the general upward trend of the Composite Index.

Mr. England added, "The stock market offers an attractive investment alternative to the more conventional investment options such as deposits. As customers become more discerning and sophisticated, packaging of investment options to maximise on returns and value seem to be in greater demand. The way forward in development of financial products and services seem to be moving towards this direction."

More seminars especially in the northern region are being planned later this year.
