Dato' Nik Hashim is new Chairman of RHB

KUALA LUMPUR, 20 June 2006: Dato’ Nik Hashim Nik Yusoff has been appointed as Non-Executive Chairman of Rashid Hussain Bhd (RHB) with effect from 16 June 2006.

Dato’ Nik Hashim, 68, who was appointed to the RHB Board of Directors in February 2003, has held senior executive positions in various financial institutions since 1983.

He is currently also Chairman of Utama Banking Group Bhd (UBG), the single largest shareholder of RHB.

Apart from UBG and RHB, Dato’ Nik Hashim also sits on the boards of Genting Bhd, Malayan United Industries Bhd and CMS Trust Management Bhd.
