Secure a home loan from RHB Bank . and jet off on a free holiday!

KUALA LUMPUR, 23 Aug 2006: More home buyers can now look forward to a well-deserved holiday, thanks to RHB Bank Bhd (“RHB Bank”). All they have to do is secure a home loan from the bank under its Get a home loan and go on a free holiday campaign that kicked off in early July.

Qualified customers can pick from a wide range of destinations – from exciting local resorts such as Langkawi and Cameron Highlands to international tourist haunts like shoppers paradise Hong Kong and laidback Perth. In between are Asean jewels such as mythical Siem Riep in Cambodia, beach resort Bali of Indonesia and Venice of the East, Bangkok.

"Our latest campaign is just another RHB way to reward our customers. This time, the focus is on those who have chosen RHB Bank to help finance their home purchases,” said Head of Consumer Banking, Mr Michael Lor.

“For a lot of us, buying a house is one of life’s major decisions. It is a commitment that we have to live with for the rest of our lives. Therefore, we feel that one deserves a break after having made one of the most important decisions in his or her life,” Mr Lor added.

The free holidays offered under the Get a home loan and go on a free holiday campaign can be divided into three categories, depending on the loan amount secured by the customer.

With a minimum loan amount of RM150,000.00, customer can get a three-day-two-night room and breakfast package for two to a choice of nine destinations depending on the loan amount. With loans of RM750,000 upwards, there are three-day-two-night room plus breakfast package with air tickets for two to a selection of domestic or international destinations.

A customer automatically earns points when his application for a home loan under the campaign is approved & accepted, but he has the option to earn more points for the next destination category by recommending his friends and relatives to obtain their loans from RHB Bank as well under the Member-Get-Member referral programme.

"That way, a customer’s chances to qualify for a holiday is not limited by the quantum of the home mortgage he is entitled to,” Mr Lor pointed out. “He may get a small mortgage, but if he refers enough new customers to RHB Bank, he will collect enough points to win the holiday he desires.”
