RHB BANKING GROUP UNVEILS ITS NEW LOOK
KUALA LUMPUR, MAY 7, 2008: RHB Banking Group (“RHB”) has unveiled its new look today. The new logo symbolizes the Banking Group’s determination to be on the right track in facing local and regional challenges moving forward.

It was officially launched by Minister of Finance II, Yang Berhormat Tan Sri Nor Mohamed Yakcop at the RHB Banking Group’s headquarters, RHB Centre, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur. Also present was Datuk Azlan Zainol, Chairman of RHB Bank Berhad and Director of RHB Capital Berhad.
The new logo, highlights the brands driving characteristics – modern & contemporary, confident and institutional, progressive and dynamic, fresh and vibrant. The primary colour of Corporate Blue projects a stronger corporate commitment to new business approaches and symbolises the creation of a Banking Group that is committed to long-term sustainability. The Red signifies the heart of the Group’s workforce and the integral part they will be playing in building the Group into becoming one of the top 3 financial services providers in ASEAN by 2020.
“Today’s event marks a significant milestone in RHB Banking Group’s history and signifies our ambition to become a leading Financial Institution in ASEAN. Competition in the Malaysian Banking and Financial industry has become very intense. RHB as a brand name carries a strong and vibrant legacy, whilst looking forward as an identity which reflects the surge of change within the Group. The new corporate Brand image and values represent the Group’s efforts to streamline its core businesses and operational support in projecting the RHB brand as a single unified banking Group. ”, Datuk Azlan said.
The introduction of the new logo today is seen as a continuation of the Group Transformation, which took place late last year. As a result, the Group was streamlined into four main Strategic Business Units – Retail Banking, Islamic Banking, Corporate & Investment Banking and International Banking.
Datuk Azlan added, “To compete with other market players, we must first obtain our customers’ confidence. We will double our efforts to understand our customers and their needs in order for us to grow with them. In short, we are here to serve our customers under one umbrella; that is why we feel it is time to simplify banking”.
