It is broken down to weekly, monthly and grand prize.

Monthly draws are based on 4 consecutive weeks as follows:

Grand prizes draws are based on the whole 16 weeks duration ie. 23 June 2009 – 22 October 2009.

   
Q2 Who can participate?
A2 This contest is open to ALL eligible new and existing
 
  1. accountholders (individuals and SME/Commercial) of participating products and;
  2. all RHB debit and credit cardholders including supplementary cards except :-
    1. permanent and/or contract employees of RHB group of companies and their immediate family members
    2. Persons who were formerly under the employment of RHB Bank & RHB Islamic Bank from Jan 2009 onwards
    3. Representatives and/or agents (including advertising and promotion agents) of RHB and their immediate family members
    4. Individuals below the age of 18 – in cases involving Junior Savings Account, the Parents/Guardians of the accountholder will be considered as eligible persons
Q3 What are the participating products and its eligibility

Description   Eligibity
Conventional Consumer Individual Accountholders
Participating RHB Current Accounts – MaxCash Account, My1 Account, Infinity Current Account, Ordinary Current Account and Basic Current Account and/or Savings Account – MySave Account, MaxSave Account, Passbook Savings Account, Statement Savings Account, Junior Savings Account and Basic Savings Account.   Every incremental balance in multiple of RM200.00 will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
Fixed Deposit Accounts – MaxFD3*, Ordinary Fixed Deposit, Senior Fixed Deposit and FD P.A.Y.S and/or Multi-Currency Call Deposit and Term Deposit   Every multiple of RM1,000.00 new placement will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
New customer with non-preexisting Deposit Account with RHB (“New Deposit Customer”)   For any new Deposit Customers who open any participating accounts according to the minimum requirement stipulated in this Contest will be entitled to additional five (5) contest entries.
Conventional Commercial / SME Accounts
RHB Ordinary Current Account   Every incremental balance in multiple of RM1,000.00 will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
Fixed Deposit Accounts – MaxFD3*, Ordinary Fixed Deposit and FD P.A.Y.S and/or Multi-Currency Call Deposit and Term Deposit   Every multiple of RM5,000.00 new placement will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
New Deposit Customer   For any new Deposit Customers who open any participating accounts according to the minimum requirement stipulated in this Contest will be entitled to additional five (5) contest entries.
* The deposit placement for MaxFD3 is subject to a minimum of RM10,000.00 per placement.
RHB Islamic Accounts – Individual Accountholders
Mudharabah Current Account-i   Every incremental balance in multiple of RM200.00 will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
Mudharabah General Investment Account-i Commodity Murabahah Deposit-i (subject to the availability of the product)   Every multiple of RM1,000.00 new placement will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
New Deposit Customer   For any new Deposit Customers who open any participating accounts according to the minimum requirement stipulated in this Contest will be entitled to additional five (5) contest entries.
RHB Islamic Accounts – Commercial/SME Accounts
Mudharabah Current Account-i   Every incremental balance in multiple of RM1,000.00 will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
Mudharabah General Investment Account-i

Commodity Murabahah Deposit-i (subject to the availability of the product)
  Every multiple of RM5,000.00 new placement will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
New Deposit Customer   For any new Deposit Customers who open any participating accounts according to the minimum requirement stipulated in this Contest will be entitled to additional five (5) contest entries.

Credit/debit card holders

Participating Debit Cards   Spend a minimum of RM20.00 in a single receipt will entitle customer to one (1) contest entry.
Participating Debit Cards and Participating Credit Cards   Spend a minimum of RM50.00 in a single receipt to be entitled to three (3) contest entries.
Participating Debit Cards and Participating Credit Cards   Spend a minimum of RM80.00 and more in a single receipt to be entitled to five (5) contest entries
Participating Credit Cards   Every new approved card will be entitled to five (5) contest entries
Participating Credit Cards   Every approved balance transfer application form with a minimum of RM3,000.00 will be entitled to five (5) contest entries.
   
  Further to the above, all deposit placements must be made with new funds and eligible customer must maintain such deposit placement in the said account until and including the day the weekly, monthly and grand prize draws are carried out in order to qualify for the weekly, monthly and grand prizes
   
   
Q4 How to participate? Do I need to fill in an entry form?
A4

Just make a deposit or spend with your RHB debit/credit card or apply and approved credit card or transfer your outstanding balances from other banks as per the criteria in Q3.

 

No, you do not need to fill in any entry from. It’s easy. Your deposits or transactions or applications will be automatically tracked by our system.

   
Q5 Would the initial deposit placement for each respective product still apply?
A5 Yes.
   
Q6 How do you define new deposit customer?
A6 New deposit customer is defined as new customer with non pre-existing deposit account with RHB. For example, an existing customer who only have RHB Credit Card and not a deposit account, opens an RHB account during the campaign period will be eligible to participate in the Contest.
   
Q7 How do you define SME/Commercial accountholder?

Q8 What are the modes of deposit transaction allowed for this contest?
A8 Deposits can be made at any RHB or RHB Islamic bank (Islamic accounts only) branch, ATM, Cash/Cheque Deposit Machines and third party/IBG transfer. Cheque deposits are subject to clearance and will only be considered good if not returned dishonoured.
   
Q9 In cases involving junior savings account, joint account and SME accounts, who will be considered as eligible customer?
A9 Junior Savings Account: Parents/Guardians
SME Accounts: Primary cheque signatory
Debit & Credit Card: Primary card holder
   
Q10 What if I close my account or cancel my card during the contest period?
A10 You will automatically be disqualified
   
   
Q11 If I apply for a Travel Money card including 1 supplementary card, how many entries will I get?
A11 Once your card application is approved, you will get 5 entries for the Travel Money card and another 5 entries for your supplementary card.
   
Q12 Is supplementary card eligible to participate in this contest?
A12 Yes. Supplementary card is eligible to participate in this contest by spending on their card as per the eligibility in A3.
   
Q13 If I transfer my outstanding balances from other banks, how many entries will I get?
A13 In order to be eligible to participate in this contest you are required to transfer a minimum RM3,000.00 of your outstanding balances per application and once it is approved, you get 5 entries.
Example:
1) Transfer balances of RM3,000 in an application and approve – will entitle you to 5 entries
2) Transfer balances of RM7,000 in an application and approve – will entitle you to 5 entries
   
Q14 Is there a minimum spending amount required to be eligible for this contest?
A14 Yes. Please refer to Q3.
   
Q15 If I spent RM200 (in a single receipt) using my card, how many entries will I get?
A15 You get 5 entries according to the matrix stated in A3.
   
   
Q16 What are the prizes?

3 x Grand Prize – Mercedes Benz C200K
2 x Monthly Prize – Perodua Myvi
1 x Weekly Prize – LCD TV

 

The abovementioned prizes will be given on an “as is” basis and the winners shall be responsible to make the necessary arrangements. All tax charges, registration fees, insurance and incidental costs in this regard will be borned by the winners

   
Q17 How do I participate to be in the running for the Weekly Prize?
A17

The Bank will give automatic entries based on the requirements stated in A3.
For example,
a) if you have an incremental balance of RM200 in your Current Account at the end of the said week you are entitled to 1 entry; and
b) if you have spent a minimum of RM20 on your RHB Debit Card, you will be entitled to 1 entry.

Q18 How do I participate to be in the running for the Monthly Prize & Grand Prize?
A18 All eligible weekly entries for the said period will automatically be in the running, provided the requirements stated in A3 have been complied with. Other conditions i.e. Customer’s account / card account must be valid and in good standing as determined by RHB.
   
Q19 If I am one of the monthly winners, do I still qualify to win the grand prizes?
A19 Yes, you may, provided that you meet the eligibility requirement as stated in A3.
   
Q20 If I am one of the monthly winners for Month 1, do I still qualify for the following month prizes?
A20 No. You can only win one (1) monthly prize once
   
Q21 How about for weekly prizes? If I’ve won in week 3, will I get the chance to win the subsequent weeks?
A21 No. You can only win one (1) weekly prize once. The maximum number of prizes that eligible customer stand to win under this contest is one (1) for weekly, one (1) for monthly and one (1) grand prize.
   
Q22 Can I exchange the prize(s) won for cash or for another prize or transfer it to another person?
A22 No. Prize(s) won are not exchangeable for cash or other prizes and cannot be transferred to another person.
   
Q23 What happens if customer is subsequently found to be ineligible to participate?
A23

If any of the winners is subsequently found to be ineligible to participate in the contest, RHB reserves the right to forfeit or reclaim the prize

   
   
Q24 How would I know if I’ve been short-listed? How would the winner be selected?
A24

Each short-listed winner will be contacted at the latest telephone numbers furnished to RHB as shown in RHB records at any time during office hour (9:00am – 6:00pm) from Monday to Friday to answer two (2) simple questions. Two (2) call attempts will be made. Once the attempts are unsuccessful, RHB has the right to select the next pre-qualifying winner.

 

Upon successful contact, the short-listed winner will be required to answer two (2) simple questions correctly in order to win.

 

Winners will be judged based on correct answers given. The Bank decision is final. No correspondence or appeal will be entertained.

   
Q25 How would I know if I have won the contest?
A25 You will be congratulated immediately after the phone call and subsequently, you will receive an official letter from the Bank.
